The Old Oaks Duo brings a refreshing chill-yet-funky take on acoustic music to the Live at the Brick stage.

Their sound floats between peaceful and gripping, blending emotive songwriting with rich instrumental textures. Franko’s warm vocals and intricate guitar work are elevated by Daniel Haschke’s harmonious saxophone solos and expressive alto flute riffs — creating a dynamic acoustic experience that feels both intimate and expansive.


From 12-string renditions of classics like Heart of Gold and What’s My Age Again to melodious indie originals, Old Oaks delivers a performance that is soulful, rhythmic, and unexpectedly powerful.

The Regulars

Jage Nichols

Jage Nichols is a singer/songwriter from Lyndon Station, WI. He began his music career while serving with the US Air Force. Jage has been in numerous successful bands over the years, most notably, Clay Sun Union, which was formed on the island of Okinawa. Over the last 3 decades, he has honed his performances in front of thousands. Jage sings with raw power and emotion, with crystal clear vocals, and a soaring four octave range.

Blaine Hackett

Blaine Hackett (aka Right Blaine), moved back to Tomah in 2023 after 25 years "in the city" because in the immortal words of Johnny Cougar, "I was born in a small town, and I can breathe in a small town". Blaine has an eclectic set list that includes many top hits from the Beatles to Ed Sheeran. He will even throw in some Celtic tunes when he has his Irish on! 

Blainedog

Blaine Meyer (aka Blainedog or Left Blaine) is a Tomah native and hometown entertainer.  His love for music comes from his late mother who instilled her love of music down to her children.  His set list consists of a wide range of music including classic country, current country, and good old-fashioned sing alongs.  Sometimes  Blainedog is joined by his son, a fellow left-hander, who can absolutely shred the electric guitar!
